Police: Son Suspect in Father's Slaying in Wilton

WILTON, Conn. — A Wilton man, 22, is suspected in the homicide of his father at their home, Wilton police said Friday.

Aaron Ramsey is suspected in the death of Edward Ramsey, 73, who died Thursday afternoon of blunt force trauma to his body, Wilton Police Chief Michael Lombardo said at a press conference Friday.

The Ramseys lived at 125 Signal Hill Road in Wilton.

Aaron Ramsey confessed to detectives during an interview at Norwalk Hospital, Lombardo said.

On Thursday, Wilton police received two 911 calls regarding a man matching Aaron Ramsey's description, Lombardo said. At 3:20 p.m., Thursday, police received a call from a resident of nearby Cheesespring Road who said a man tried to break into her car. Another resident of Cheesespring called later to report a man trying to break into her home.

Aaron Ramsey has been arrested and is being held on a $1 million bond. He was expected to be arraigned in Norwalk on Friday.
