New York Pair Charged In Wilton Road Rage Incident

WILTON, Conn. — Two men from New York were charged with breach of peace in Wilton last Thursday after a road rage incident involving a local man, police said.

John Goodwin, 55, of Poughkeepsie, and Daniel Goodwin, 28, of Pleasant Valley, were accused of punching a local man in the face, police said.

The incident began at the southbound travel merge just beyond the intersection of Danbury Road and Route 107, police said. The victim tried merging in front of the Goodwins’ vehicle but ended up behind them, police said. A short distance later, the victim passed the Goodwins’ car.

When both vehicles came to a stop, the Goodwins got out of their vehicle and approached the victim’s vehicle, police said. Multiple witnesses reported seeing punches thrown, police said.

Both men were released on promises to appear in court on Dec. 2.
