Suspect Flees After Stabbing Victim At Gas Station Off I-95

An argument inside a vehicle as it was traveling northbound on I-95 in Fairfield County left one man with stab wounds.

The victim was found when state police responded to a gas station off I-95 on Honeyspot Road in Stratford around 8:50 a.m. Saturday for a report of a stabbing, Connecticut State Police said.

An investigation found that the man was one of four inside a rental vehicle traveling on I-95 in Stratford when an argument broke among the occupants and the man was stabbed with an unknown object while the vehicle was moving, state police said.

The vehicle then pulled over on the interstate near Exit 31 and the victim walked to the gas station where police were called, state police said. 

The victim was taken to Bridgeport Hospital where he was treated and released, state police said.  

Western District Major Crime detectives responded to the scene and are investigating the incident. State police said there is no threat to the public.
