WILTON, Conn. -- A Wilton woman faces charges of felony larceny and forgery in connection with the theft of government benefits, police said.
Jane Powell, 56, was arrested Tuesday after a joint investigation by Wilton police and the Social Security Administration, police said.
She is accused of taking $50,000 from her children’s Social Security benefits, police said.
Bail for Powell was set at $50,000, police said.
