Wilton Y Locker Burglary Suspect Wanted By Police

WILTON, Conn. – A wallet containing cash and credit cards was stolen from a locked locker at the Wilton YMCA last week, and officers are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect, police said.

The theft was reported last Thursday afternoon and is believed to have occurred between 12:15 and 1:30 p.m., police said. The wallet contained $15 and two credit cards, police said.

The suspect, a heavy set white male, was captured on video surveillance entering the Y with a white gym towel draped over his shoulder. Shortly after entering the locker room, security footage showed the same man leaving the gym with an item in his hand that was concealed by the towel, police said.

The suspect is described as in his late 30s to early 40s. On the day of the incident, he was wearing a white shirt, dark pants, black hat with white writing, and had a dark goatee. He was also wearing a watch on his left wrist with a light-colored face and dark band, police said.
