WILTON, Conn. -- Tommy Kealy of Wilton won the 200 meter butterfly at the recent USA Swimming Futures Championship meet in Greensboro, N.C.
Kealy trimmed his 200 butterfly time by more than three seconds and won the race in in 2:02.12, which is under a Senior National qualifying time.
He swam a personal best in the 100 meter butterfly, finishing in third place with a time of 55.28.
Kealy trained this summer with the Wilton Wahoos club team but will continue his swimming career as a rising sophomore at William & Mary.
Kealy helped William & Mary win its first Colonial Athletic Association swim championship in the winter. He swam the 1,650 yard freestyle for the first time in the league championship meet and posted the fourth fastest time in school history.
