NORWALK, Conn. Karen B. Gintel, formerly of Norwalk, died June 9 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was 48.
Born in New York, she was the daughter of Steffi Stephen Booth and Stuart Gintel. She worked as a waitress at Gates Restaurant in New Canaan and Rory's Restaurant in Darien for many years.
Gintel is survived by her parents; a sister, Patti Gintel, of New York; and two brothers, David Gintel, of Vermont, and Steven Gintel, of California. She was predeceased by a brother, Michael Gintel.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at the family plot in Vermont. West Haven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
