The group, which is for parents of children under age 18 with behavioral, emotional and mental health issues, meets the fourth Monday of every month.

Questions that are addressed include the following:

  • Frustrated by your child's challenging behavior?
  • Worried about how your child’s behavior affects the family, especially siblings?
  • Wonder how others manage in similar situations?
  • Married, but feel alone in parenting your challenging child?

These groups are free, confidential, safe and led by trained and certified volunteer facilitators who themselves have had personal experiences raising children with these concerns.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness is a grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
