Tap-a-Tree Maple Syrup Program Training Sessions begin at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7. Ambler Farm families learn the science and history of making maple syrup through a hands-on program in which they choose a maple tree and collect sap from it through the season (February to mid-March). After hanging their buckets, families will receive updates on the running of the sap so they can collect sap from their trees during a five-week period. The sap will be boiled down in the sugar shack at the farm. Each family will receive a bottle of Ambler Farm maple syrup. Two training sessions are offered but only one session is required. Enrollment is limited to 110 families. Registration is open to both members and non-members.
Valentine's Tea Sunday is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8 in the White Carriage Barn at Ambler Farm. Little Valentines enjoy platters of delicious sandwiches and sweets and make crafts at Ambler Farm’s popular annual tea. Registration is open to members and non-members.
Dim Sum Culinary Program with Heather Priest is from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26 and Friday, March 6 in the White Carriage Barn at Ambler Farm. Master chef and Middlebrook School culinary arts teacher Heather Priest will teach how to make Dim Sum, a traditional, bite-sized Chinese dish. Due to the popularity of Ambler Farm’s tapas program with Heather Priest, the farm is offering two Dim Sum sessions. Advance registration is required and enrollment is limited to 22 people per session. Registration will open to members on Friday, Jan. 23 and to non-members on Monday, Feb. 2 (space permitting).
