Gardner told the Wilton Bulletin that she though it was time for someone new to serve in the position. She will serve until January 2017, and added that she is looking forward to the presidential primary and election, which she will oversee, said the Wilton Bulletin.
She plans to stay in the area and may seek a different position in government, added the Wilton Bulletin.
