FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Opposite-side boarding was in effect along the New Haven Line on Tuesday morning, Metro-North Railroad said.
The boarding change is at every station from Milford to Noroton Heights due to wire damage in the area, Metro-North said.
As a result, eastbound trains are operating with delays of five to 10 minutes.
Also, train riders on the New Canaan branch should find a different way to get to work or to downtown Stamford on Tuesday morning, Metro-North said.
Limited buses and no trains were being provided along the New Canaan Branch until further notice, Metro-North Railroad said.
The problems were due to a truck accident that caused wire damage to the train's overhead catenary system, Metro-North said.
Customers were urged to seek alternate transportation to the Stamford station.
