WILTON, Conn. Wilton residents are being asked to keep their car doors locked in the wake of three car break-in's in the past week.
Two of the break-ins occurred Tuesday between 2:25 and 3:40 p.m. in the Montessori School parking lot at 34 Whipple Road, the Wilton Police Department reported. The owners found a window broken and their purses removed.
The purses contained personal items like credit cards, police said. A digital camera and iPhone were also reported stolen.
This past Friday a delivery car was burglarized in front of Wilton Meadows Heathcare. The driver reported that during the 30 minutes he was delivering a package his truck was rifled through and a laptop valued at around $1,300 was taken.
So far, police believe the three burglaries are unrelated, but they are continuing their investigation.
