WILTON, Conn. — Carolyn LaGaipa Gentile, of Wilton, died Thursday, March 7. She was 78.
Gentile was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Sept. 4, 1934, daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Carberry Baratta. She spent many years as a cruise specialist.
Gentile is survived by her children, Michael LaGaipa (Julie Rose) of Orlando, Fla., Paul LaGaipa (Sharon) of Easton, and Julie Granata of Monroe; sister, Diane McNeil (Roderick III) of Easton; five grandchildren.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, March 13, at 9 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road. Trumbull, CT 06611, 10 a.m. at St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull.
