WILTON, Conn. - Philip C. Bardes, Sr. of Wilton died July 23. He was 79.
Bardes was born Oct. 17, 1933, son to Harold and Marie Genthner Bardes. He graduated from Stamford High School and attended Pennsylvania Military College before serving two years in the U.S. Army. He started his career in electrical/mechanical design at Branson Ultrasonic and retired from Perkin Elmer Corp.
Bardes is survived by his wife, Betty A. Bardes; daughter, Kathy; son, Philip (Dee); two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a nephew. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Helen Bardes Sclafani (Robert Sclafani, Sr.); and nephew, Gus Sclafani. Calling hours are Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Norwalk’s Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford.
