A Wolfpit Avenue resident told police that she returned home to her apartment on Aug. 5 to find a strange woman inside with the two dogs, according to the Hour. The woman appeared to be under the influence of drugs and had apparently urinated on the couch, the Hour reported. The resident went outside and called the police, but when officers showed up the intruder was no longer there, according to the Hour.
Police determined that the intruder lived in the next apartment and identified her as 36-year-old Kimberly Ruff, according to the Hour. A warrant was issued for her arrest and she was picked up in a parking lot on Connecticut Avenue Thursday afternoon, the Hour reported.
Ruff was charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny, and her bond was set at $25,000.
Ruff is also facing multiple charges of forgery, identity theft and larceny in New Canaan, stemming from a March arrest, according to the Hour.
