Utility Worker Hurt When Equipment Touches Power Line In Wilton

WILTON, Conn. -- An electrical contractor was hospitalized Thursday after his equipment touched a power line, according to a report by the Connecticut Post.

A worker for Eversource Energy had to be rushed to the hospital after his equipment apparently touched a power line on Blue Ridge Lane in Wilton Thursday.

The contractor was replacing utility poles for Eversource Energy, a Hartford-based utility company, on Blue ridge Lane, the Connecticut Post said.

Wilton police, when reached late Thursday, did not have any updates on the man’s condition.

The incident is being investigated by the federal Occupation Safety and Health Administration, the Connecticut Post story said.
