NorwalkLifer:

Unfornately this is nothing more than politics as usual, Demographically, Connecticut is a blue state, so the impetus to have John McCain speak on behalf of Linda McMahon in Norwalk and Danbury, and have Paul Ryan to appear at an offering in Darien, is the exact same as having volunteer outposts in Ohio for President Obama outnumbering Mitt Romney's 4 to 1.

And it works there, Darien is an offshoot of NYC, and as we all know, many people who work in the financial district in NY, do come home to Darien, and for that matter, Greenwich. So it's natural that the RNC would pick a safe haven like Darien to hold an event.

What's the purpose? to motivate the vote, and attempt to turn Connecticut red. With New Hampshire solidly blue at the moment, and early voting helping to cement that idea, this is a dangerous turn of events nationally for the RNC.

On a personal note, I find the duality of Ryan a little disconcerting, While he espouses Catholic doctrine as a motivation for his public service, he also embraces the philosphy of Ayn Rand. Ayn Rand was an immigrant from Eastern Europe, and her philosphy is one of objectivism; I've heard this philosphy shaped to explain plane crashes. If one knows there is bad weather afoot, and boards a plane, that plane crashes., then the one is responsible for the ensuing events, this is the foundation of objectivism.

That is not an American ideal at all, Ayn Rand also called all religions evil, because religious doctrine was in direct conflict with her view of the world.

Ryan has stated publically that her books were required reading for his staff; two points here, that's a clear attempt to sway an individual's perception of the world, and secondly, with regards to wasteful spending, I am sure that any organization whose main focus is to drive out wasteful spending, would find this kind of activity wasteful in nature. In other words, we do not pay congressional staff to read books; we pay them to read legislation, so they can productively advise a congressman on the elements of a vote.

We know, that most congressman and women, do not read a particular legislation in it's entirety, the attempt to reduce the bureacratic mish mash of legislation and paperwork during the Clinton presidency to me, was one of the best efforts in reducing costs in Washington.

But this fell to the side of the road, there was so much more sensational outrage to feed the body public.

I think these visits are nothing more than politics as usual, and to me, Paul Ryan's attempt to come with the "next big idea" falls flat.

Until Mr. Ryan resolves the conflict in his own soul, I really do not want him one heartbeat away from the presidency.

For now, I'll support President Obama.

Regards
NL

Thx for the invite, have to pass on this! Amazing, were the 47% of Americans who can’t attend! Setting the stakes for only high rollers? The job creators who will trickle down the millions of campaign funds that have been used to buy the Presidency. Just think of how many jobs could have been created for Americans with this money? The wealthy are justified to keep it for generations to pass on to their families, ignoring the needs of their
neighbors. The neighbors they praise in their phony Christian spirit, only to ignore them after mass! Tell me where your Christian teachings come to play in your daily life “ love thy neighbor as thyself?”

Connecticutcitizen:

I think Obama proved his love for the wealthy through his myriad of fundraisers with and by all his wealthy supporters including JayZ and Beyonce, et al.

I wonder about Obama's Christian or transparent spirit and integrity wherein his administration most recently is instructing large defense manufacturers (some located in Northern Virginia a swing state) and businesses to defy a federal law requiring notification to employees of pending layoffs prior to the election and that the federal government will pay for their legal costs if sued.

This must be the 'love thy neighbor as thyself' doctrine to which you referred - instead it is the end justifies the means and who cares about the little guy.

Tim T:

The issue is really of no importance as Romney has ZERO chance of winning THANK GOD

Paige:

So, the election is already fixed???????

Paige:

No, you stated that Romney had Zero chance of winning.

And you went on to state you know how every voter in the country are going to vote.

Tim T:

Romney is a bum...Thank you for stating that Paige

Mr. Zippy:

yes good call our support of a democracy is at fault..we should support the barbarians at the gate...we have so much in common with them..womans rights gay rights free speech general freedom...your thinking is typical..it is someones fault..we are at war with ideals...when you throw israel under the bus you might as well take your own life because you have bought into their poor rhetoric of ohh if only you did this then we wouldnt kill...face it..the Taliban doesnt care about Israel..that is what you support...you are truly a fool

pickle8:

In a lighter vein, one must appreciate the marketing potential of the RR dynamic duo. It certainly has connotative punch. Just add a Mr. Bentley for Press Secretary and Mr. Aston Martin for Secretary of Treasury -- pure BBDO brilliance!

pickle8:

All of this retaliatory ping-pong may be amusing to some and no doubt offensive to others. Regrettably its focus is superficial and myopic. It fails to identify the virulent disease that threatens our nation's independence.

No matter which side wins the election, its furtive attempts to treat a broad spectrum of festering social ills and multitudinous economic dichotomies will fail since treating the symptoms of an undiagnosed disease can, at best, only provide a temporary palliative to appease an electorate already suffering from severe hyperpropagandosis.

The disease is our unconditional and inextricable support of Israel and pandemic international Zionism exacerbated by our biased foreign policy in the Middle-East. World War III beckons.

Mr. Zippy:

nice arguments lefties...ad absurdum...if you knew anything about financial systems..you would know that the current administration will deliver you into financial oblivian no one will get anything...and all the spending is a hidden tax on all the poor all the seniors etc...wake up you watch way too much CNBC and just keep saying the same untruths over and over..

Pony Tail Steve:

They have no clue. Who would possibly want 4 more years of failure? As you can see below, those are the freaks that support Obama. They just do not get how the real world works unfortunately...

Niikk:

Oh did you get that job at burger king Robtard?

The Norwalk Truth:

Here's the Romney-Ryan Plan:
1. Tax poor & working people but not the rich;
2. Encourage wages in the U.S. to fall to third world levels;
3. Pass trade laws that make it easy for companies to send jobs overseas;
4. Pass laws that enable only insurance companies to control who gets health care (including seniors) and who doesn't;
5. Replace public education with out of pocket private schools and home schooling;
6. Refuse to invest in crumbling public infrastructure such as highways, bridges, and sewer systems;
7. Environmental Policy: Pass laws and weaken regulations that enable companies to pollute the environment;
8. Pass laws that enable gas and oil production and prices to be controlled by a few large companies; Make sure that there is no longer any research or work on alternative energy sources; Keep defense spending high to protect non domestic oil production;
9. Repress rights for women and minorities and repress voting participation;
10. Divide the American people on cultural issues (religion, sexual orientation, gun rights, etc);
11. Instill fear in the American public through manufactured crises and created "boogeymen". Then attack political opponents by claiming to be more "patriotic" and the better keeper of "American Values" than they.
12. Make it impossible for literally millions of ELIGIBLE voters to cast their ballots, which is flagrant vote tampering and corruption.

Connecticutcitizen:

GMs President has promised that 55% of their new jobs will be in China. Now that is the type of bailout and Obama support that is transformational.

Niikk:

I see Robtard is lost yet again

Pony Tail Steve:

I love this video. He tears apart Obamacare in 6 mins. Obama looks scared to face him. The debates are going to be great. Ryan is sharp as can be. Biden, I would not buy a used car from. At least they have a plan. Obama has not even met with his jobs counsel in months!

And tim t (aka niikk) calling someone ignorant? HA HA HA HA HA
That was pretty funny!
We all know you rely on the government, "tim t" but many of us want more money and better jobs.

Paige:

PT Steve! Great clip. Thanks.

Pony Tail Steve:

I love the look on Obama's face! SCARED!! Liberals are terrified of him (as seen below, claiming the link is a virus, like we are that stupid?)

Tim T:

Here we have pony tail steve once again with the insults and accusing everyone that disagrees with him ( which are most)as being the same person when in fact many have stated that is actually his M.O.
As far as pony tail Steve stating that "many of us want more money and better jobs", I would think that he would attempt to get a job before he worries about getting a better job..Hey I rode by Burger King today and seen a sign that they are hiring, why don't you have someone fill out the application for you and apply.

The Norwalk Truth:

**************VIRUS ALERT**************
It seems our resident troll Pony tail steve aka Robtard aka Niikk (in black) from topix aka Robby Rob aka ffctguitar has posted a link to a virus..Lucky my virus protection caught it in time.

Niikk:

thanks for the heads up...Unfortunately I seen it after I went to the page and now my computer keeps freezing up.. What a scum bag to post a link to a virus.

Tim T:

Not surprised

Niikk:

When you look up the word ignorant you will see Paul Ryan's picture. Also take a look at this pic he looks like a rat.
