A village resident since 1989, McCarthy is deeply rooted in the Larchmont-Mamaroneck community.
She is a director of the Larchmont Chamber of Commerce, co-chair of her church community outreach committee, and performs with the Westchester Chorale.
Previously, McCarthy worked with crime victims as a caseworker for the Special Prosecution Division of the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.
Her local initiatives have included creating playrooms in Family Court, children's libraries in community centers and bringing together the Larchmont community for their 9/11 supply drive.
Recently, McCarthy volunteered to serve as a community advisor to the Daily Voice, sharing news tips and story ideas.
