The programs are part of an effort by the university to expand its presence in Stamford by offering courses at the Landmark Square Building downtown.

The programs at the graduate center will include digital marketing, human resource management, film and television, and educational leadership and management, which are currently offered at the school’s main campus in Fairfield, the release said. There also will be new communications programs and other classes, the university said.

“We are excited to increase our presence in Stamford. The new Graduate Center will offer greater options for our graduate students while giving us an opportunity to build on an already strong relationship with the Stamford community,” University President John J. Petillo said in a statement earlier this year.

Thursday's informational sessions will outline the school's new Master of Science in Human Resource Management and Master of Science in Digital Marketing. Both sessions are at 6 p.m. at the Stamford Innovation Center, 175 Atlantic St., Stamford.

The Master of Science in Human Resource Management degree is designed for human resource professionals seeking career advancement and those looking to enter the field with a solid foundation in human resources and business. Part of the course is taught online with in-person classes from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every other Saturday.

The Master of Science in Digital Marketing covers digital marketing strategies, tactics and tools taught on a double foundation of marketing strategy and web development and design. It will be offered from 6:30 to 9:30 weekday evenings and online.

The Landmark Square location offers 10,000 square feet of classroom, conference and administrative space for Sacred Heart, the university said. Currently, the school offers continuing education, limited undergraduate classes and corporate training in Stamford at its Riverbend location.
