The first opponent of four was the host New Canaan team, which saw plenty of power from Wilton during a 48-6 loss. Strong inside play from Adia Burrows, Maddie Burke, Sidney Cumming and Caroline Coffey allowed Wilton to control the game from the first tip.
Sophia Strazza, Kaitlin Reif and Olivia Dexter ran the court well and distributing the ball inside. The second game was an overtime thriller verses Scarsdale that ended up in a 28-28 tie. Strong defense led by Hannah Belanger, Bridgette Wall and both Caty and Alex Greer kept Scarsdsale at bay forcing Scarsdale to hit three critical foul shots in overtime to tie the game.
The final two games saw Wilton dealing with injuries and moving players into new roles testing their versatility. Two losses to Stamford and Southbury ended the tournament but Wilton gained invaluable experience on the young season.
