Kennett Square police are searching for a driver who they said fled the scene of an accident on Thursday, May 9. A man in a white Chrysler 200 pulled onto Center Street from Scarlett Alley and struck another car after running the stop sign on West Cypress Street, according to authorities. He "pulled over and briefly interacted with the other vehicle" before leaving the scene, police said. Investigators believe he fled south on Center Street and then turned east on Magnolia Street. An investigation along a Manassas street prompted a shelter-in-place for a nearby school on Thursday, May 9, authorities said. City police said only that Dean Elementary School was sheltering in place amid an investigation along Dean Park Lane around 2:30 p.m. as a precaution for a nearby investigation. Police in Gloucester County are investigating a possible murder-suicide, authorities said. On Tuesday, May 7 at approximately 7 p.m., Clayton police responded to the Academy Arms Apartments on North Broad Street for a domestic dispute involving gunfire, police said. Group Comes Under Fire In Abington Park, Police Say
Authorities are investigating after a group of people were shot at in Abington's Crestmont Park. Police said it happened last Saturday, April 27 around 10:15 p.m. The shots missed the victims but damaged their vehicles, officials said. The shooters fled the park in a dark-colored sedan, according to police. "None of the individuals had any idea who would have targeted them for this attack," they noted.
