Snowbound? How are you passing the time?

  • Sleeping in
  • On phone/electronic devices
  • Raiding the fridge
  • Outside — playing
  • Outside — shoveling
  • Helping with household chores
  • Binge-watching Netflix
  • Cooking and/or baking
  • Working or doing homework

13-year-old Ryan Wunsch of Danbury is having a blast today, playing on his computer and watching funny YouTube videos.

“My favorite is Family Guy,” he said.

Ryan also plans to play table tennis downstairs in the basement with his dad Alan.  "I am good at it. We usually play every single night. It’s really fun to win."

He added that his dad is also good at the game, "so it’s kind of a competition. We play about three games. Each game takes about 10 minutes."

Later, he plans to go sledding.  "We have a hill outside my house.  It has a pretty good incline, it's pretty steep," he said.

Last but not least, there's pancakes.  "I make M&M, chocolate chip, banana and sprinkles. My favorite kind is plain."

In response to the blizzard that is expected to dump up to 2 feet of snow across Northern Fairfield County, Gov. Dannel Malloy issued the message to stay off the roads and stay ahead of shoveling.

Malloy also suggested reading a book or making brownies on this snowbound day.
