Two were hospitalized in Southern Maryland following a chain-reaction crash that was set off when a man failed to negotiate a turn and struck a vehicle in the opposite lane, according to the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office. New I-695 Inner Loop Closure Point To Take Effect Monday: Maryland Transportation Authority
With the entire East Coast continuing to adjust to the collapse of the Key Bridge collapse in Maryland, the state's Transportation Authority announced new closures and alternatives for motorists on I-695. Beginning on Monday, April 15, there will be a new closure point in effect on the Inner Loop. MDTA officials issued a warning to drivers Monday morning regarding increased rush hour traffic on several Baltimore highways following last week’s Key Bridge collapse. The southeast corridor of I-695 is closed on the Outer Loop at MD 173 (exit 1) and Inner Loop at MD 157/Peninsula Expressway (exit 43). Montgomery County Rollover Sends 4 To Hospital
A rollover involving four vehicles in Montgomery County sent four people to the hospital Monday morning, March 18, crews said. It happened on Darnestown Road at Key West Plaza near Hunting Lane in Rockville, MCFRS Spokesperson Pete Piringer said.
