? Commuters had to deal with added traffic on the roads and trains Monday and Tuesday as people had to adjust after a train derailment on Metro-North's New Haven Line in Bridgeport. Trains were back up and running by Tuesday afternoon.

? Wilton is slated to get a new assistant superintendent. Charles Smith, principal of North Street School in Greenwich, will become Wilton's assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, effective July 1.

? News that the state Senate passed a bill that would require labeling of genetically modified foods was a hot topic. The bill passed Tuesday and will now face the state House of Representatives.

? The Wilton-based aerial video production company Vidifly made headlines this week. The company takes to the sky using remote controlled helicopters to capture video.
